Since 2006 we have been raising money for the Mustard Seed Secular School in Uganda. There are now 3 secular schools in Uganda, and its a growing force. We have a new route for donations to them - a trust has been set up to channel funds from the UK. So please direct your donations to UHST(UK).
Mustard Seed Appeal. Mustard Seed is a school in Busota, Uganda, run by Moses Kamya.
Since 2006 the RA and RA members have been supporting Moses by running a campaign through the pages of New Humanist. So far over £30,000 has been sent to Mustard Seed, which has allowed them to construct a four room school house, sink a borehole so they can get fresh water and provide annual bursaries for all 19 pupils. Much has been done but much more is needed. You can donate to the Mustard Seed campaign right now. Call us on 0203 117 0630.
If you'd like to know more about the challenges faced by the non-religious in Uganda, read Moses Kamya's account of the rise in street evangelism by the exploitative Pentecostal churches on the streets of the capital Kampala.
