# Claire Rayner

Claire Rayner (1931-2010) was a nurse, agony aunt and tireless health campaigner. She is a former president of the[ British Humanist Association](http://www.humanism.org.uk/home) and an honorary associate of the [Rationalist Association](http://newhumanist.org.uk/ra). Her autobiography, How Did I Get Here From There, is published by Virago.
