# Raymond Tallis

Raymond Tallis is a retired gerontologist and a prolific philosopher and author. After a long career as a medical practictioner during which he was Professor of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Manchester and a consultant physician in Health Care of the Elderly in Salford, he retired in 2006 to devote himself to writing.
