Martin Cloonan
Martin Cloonan is Professor of Popular Music Politics in the Department of Music, University of Glasgow. His books include Banned! Censorship of Popular Music in Britain; 1967-1992, (Arena, 1993) and Popular Music and the State in the UK (Ashgate). His most recent book, co-authored book, is The History of Live Music in the UK: Volume 1: From the Dance Hall to the 100 Club (Ashgate, 2013).
