Sanal Edamaruku

Regular readers will be familiar with the work of the prominent Indian rationalist Sanal Edamaruku. We've long been fans of his exposure of the science behind supposed miracles, and for the past year we've been promoting his fight against charges of blasphemy for debunking a dripping crucifix in a Mumbai church.

We'll have some news very soon on what you can do next to help his cause, but in the meantime we wanted to pass on some news of events, as he's in the UK for the next couple of weeks, and appearing at a few Skeptics in the Pub events to talk about his work. We'd highly recommend going along if you're able – after all, it's not every day you get to meet someone who once challenged a mystic to kill him live on TV.

You can see Sanal at the following events:

Stoke – Thursday 21 March, 7.30pm: "Holy Men in India", Stoke Skeptics in the Pub, The Holy Inadequate, 67 Etruria Old Road, ST1 5PE

Oxford – Monday 25 March, 7.30pm: "Superstition and Rationalism: The Indian Battleground", Oxford Skeptics in the Pub, Wig & Pen, 9-13 George St, OX1 2AU. Facebook event page.
