Sharon Shalev is an Associate of the International Centre for Prison Studies and a Fellow at the Mannheim Centre for Criminology, London School of Economics and author of Supermax: Controlling Risk Through Solitary Confinement, which won the British Society of Criminology's Book Prize for 2010
